Gothic medieval sandstone Maria with child in a nice S shaped pose. The sculpture was made between 1400 and 1430 in probably In the North of France. Almost identical example is in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.

The condition is good regarding its age. Maria and her child lost their head in the “ Beeldenstorm” iconoclasm between August 10 and Octobre 1566. Start of the 80 years war with Spain.
