Alb: 196 Seiko Automatic SCUBAPRO 450 Diver's WATER 150m RESIST This watch was made by the Japanese brand Seiko in the 1980s. It was one of the last diving pieces made during the 80s and 90s. It has a sporty and elegant design. The strap is from aftermarket, and original by the brand, a beautiful rubber (23 cm). As you can see in the photographs, on the case back we can find the unmistakable Seiko wave logo, special for the scuba diving collection of the 80s. It should be noted that this watch has been restored, and that the dial, hands, crystal and bezel insert are new. Includes the official brand box. The Scubapro 450 model is based on the Seikos 6306-7001 model and was made in the late 1970s as part of a joint marketing contract with the Scuba-pro diving equipment company. The 6306 model is based on a model from the local Japanese market made together with the very similar 6309-7040. The difference is that the 6306 features a kanji day wheel, four additional items of jewellery, hacking seconds, and a different type of machining around the crown, which makes the opening slightly larger. The difference between the Scubapro 450 and a 6306 model is only the impression on the dial. The most obvious difference is the "Subapro 450" sequence of controls located above the "Water 150 Resist" on the dial. A difference that is harder to see is that the identification code changed from 700 L T to 700J T. This is a great item of jewellery for collectors.
